If you’re wondering what OVD stands for, it actually stands for Old Vatted Demerara, so saying OVD Demerara Rum is basically saying Old Vatted Demerara Demerara Rum. That’s a nice, pedantic way of introducing this delicious and great value rum. The name doesn’t relate to its ingredients, but to the unique way that this rum is made. It’s distilled from molasses in a wooden Coffey still in Guyana but is actually bottled in Glasgow!
